Mitakon F/0.95 50mm on Sony A7

Finally I get the chance to try out a F/0.95 lens, on full frame camera. Other than the legendary leica F0.95 I don't find it any other lens get as good as this mitakon F/0.95 50mm.

I got it yesterday night, today is my first day walking around my housing area and trying to shoot some of the picture. I am not good at manual focusing, but thanks to the peeking mode, I guess the manual focus get easier than ever.

Many would think that the mitakon F/0.95 50m may be be soft if shoot wide open. But I am very sure the F/0.95 performance is really good at this price value. By using real sample, rather than comparing pixel by pixel with some charts. I believe this will make you believe this lens is a must for 50mm prime.

As you can see from this picture. The cat is the focus, from this picture, it might not be too sharp and looks a bit soft. But perhaps I think is the jpg or picture compression issue. Or may be it gets uploaded to Facebook it will get worse.

But when I enlarge and zoom it in, you can see the sharpness on the cat face and the moustache. 

It is really sharp. I will update more picture for the following few days.

Another Photoshop Bokeh

After BSS return from some nice PD Avillion trip. I have decided again to photoshop some bokeh. Despite we have only a lousy compact camera I think with photoshop it can really achieve awesome effect.

Some of the friend commented that the Bokeh is not the same as the one taken by Camera, I agreed that the last photo DOF is harder to photoshop compare to first photo. The first photo is quite convincing. and I believe if you have time to create multiple layer, it is also possible to create all those bokeh effect similar to Camera.

Usually those bokeh photo has quite some background light that will have great effect. Some of the photographer even have heart shape bokeh. Perhaps I should seek out those photos

I am not sure some of the people like Bokeh and Vignette a lot. Perhaps the effect made the photo more nostalgic and mysterious in some way. Basically I find that non-vignette and non bokeh photo is much more better. Just personal preference cause I like to see things clearly with better visualization.

All the photo posted here are taken using normal compact camera. No DSLR body, no F1.4 Lense. Everything is just photoshop to give this effect. Not bad huh? Left hand side is the photoshop compare to right hand side is original image. Perhaps this is the first time I create this bokeh and vignette effect. No too bad also.
